EXTERNAL COLLABORATORS

The cooperation with the following researchers outside the main partners onsortium will help completing the project tasks and better addressing the main research questions

Eco Research  (Dr. Werner Tirler) is a research center based in Bolzano and specialized in chemical analyses, which will be in charge of the analysis of trace element content in different water types, and in each component of the foodweb to determine  bioaccumulation;

Prof. Gerfried Winkler (Institute for Earth Sciences, University of Graz, Austria), expert in alpine hydrogeology and hydro(geo)logical characterization of rock glaciers, will support the project with rainfall-runoff modeling and hydrogeological data analysis

Prof. Roberto Seppi (Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Pavia) will contribute to characterize the geomorphology of the project study areas, with focus on rock glaciers and their dynamics, also based on various remote sensing approaches

Prof. Luca Carturan (Department of Land, Environment, Agriculture and Forestry, University of Padova) will contribute to the identification of physical and hydrochemical variables characterizing rock glacier runoffs by sharing data of about 200 high elevation springs of different origin in the western Trentino region

Dr. Marc Olefs (GeoSphere Austria) will provide high resolution INCA short time forecast data (http://www.zamg.ac.at/incaanalyse/) on precipitation and temperature for modelling and validation;

 Dr. Roberto Dinale (Office for Hydrology and Dams of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano/Bozen) will support runoff measurements and modelling

Prof. Kaare M. Nielsen (Department of life sciences and health, Oslo Metropolitan University, Norway), expert on biosafety of environmental microbial communities, will provide a general overview of ROCK-Me data under a Risk assessment/OneHealth eye, including the consequences of the release of bacterial genes.
