WORK PACKAGES

ROCK-ME includes seven integrated Work Packages (WP):

WP1: Project management (UNIBZ, F. Comiti). The WP will ensure an efficient and smooth project management, the organization project meetings at the end of each project year, aiming at coordinating the project activities including the preparation of the financial and scientific annual reports.

WP2: Dissemination of project results (FEM,  M.C. Bruno). The WP is dedicated to the dissemination and outreach activities to researchers, stakeholders and the general public.

WP3: Collection and analysis of existing data (IGF/ÖAW, A. Fischer). The WP is dedicated to the collection and  integrated analysis of existing geological, hydro-meteorological and ecological data relative to the study areas.

WP4: Geological and geomorphological characterization (IGF/ÖAW, responsible A. Fischer). The WP is dedicated to the collection of a new dataset based on the geological and geomorphological characterization.

WP5: Hydrological and hydrochemical monitoring (UNIBZ, F. Comiti). The WP is dedicated to the collection of a new dataset based on the hydrological-hydrochemical monitoring.

WP6: Ecological analyses (FEM,  M. Tolotti; UNIBZ, L. Brusetti). The WP is dedicated to the collection of a new dataset based on biodiversity and ecological surveys.

WP7: Future hydro-ecological trends in alpine streams (IGF/ÖAW, A. Fischer). The WP elaborate a conceptual model supported by the implementation of numerical modelling to predict the future fate of trace elements and related ecosystems shifts linked to glacier retreat and permafrost thaw.
